Learn how to play sarod in the North Indian Classical style. Classes are taught one on one. Each class is customized to fit the individuals progress and abilities. You will learn in the exact same way that I was taught in India, in the Senia-Shahjahanpur style, of which Pandit Buddhadev Dasgupta is the chief exponent.

Ongoing - Seattle

Learn to understand North Indian classical music through ear training. No musical background necessary. You will learn orally from the ground up how to identify scale degrees and how they fit together to form ragas and compositions. By the end of the course you will have gained the skills to begin exploring new ragas on your own and make insightful observations about what you hear.
